Objectives: The study aimed to investigate the effect of the R.E.A.C.T. strategy on improving creative reading skills among tenth grade female students in Jordan.
Methodology: To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers developed a creative reading skills test consisting of 16 items equally distributed across the dimensions of creative reading (originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration). The study sample consisted of 70 tenth grade female students who were divided into two groups: 35 students in the control group, who were taught using the conventional strategy, and 35 students in the experimental group, who were taught using the R.E.A.C.T. strategy.
Results: The results revealed statistically significant differences in the overall and individual creative reading skills due to the teaching strategy, in favor of the experimental group.
Conclusion: The study concluded that the R.E.A.C.T. strategy is effective in improving creative reading skills among students. In light of the findings, the researchers recommend using this strategy in teaching reading skills to students in the basic education stage.
