A Proposed Educational Administrative Guide to Apply the Principles of Knowledge Economy in Higher Education Institutions in the State of Kuwait

This study aimed at building a proposed educational administrative guide to apply the principles of knowledge economy in higher education institutions in the state of Kuwait. The population of the study consisted of all faculty members in Kuwaiti universities, amounting to (4370) members and the study has been applied on a sample amounting to (300) members randomly selected. The instrument of the study has been developed to test the status quo of the application of the principles of knowledge economy in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait. The instrument included four domains of (65) items. After distributing the study tool on the sample of the study and collecting the information, the study results indicated the following: The status quo of the principles of knowledge economy in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait was medium. The results also revealed statistically significant differences in the reality of the application of the principles of knowledge economy in the higher education institutions due to gender in the areas of information technology and governance in favour of males. In light of the results, the researcher built a proposed educational administrative guide to apply the principles of knowledge economy in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait and came up with recommending that the model be adapted, applied and developed according to the feedback.
