Abstract

The study aims to measure the relative efficiency of the University of Tabuk faculties by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The researcher utilized a quantitative approach with a linear programming method, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), with the input and output orientation set according to the Constant Return to Scale (CRS) and the Variable Return to Scale (VRS) for the academic year 2020. All sixteen faculties of the University of Tabuk constituted the population of the study. To represent the study sample, a comprehensive survey method for all these faculties was used. The researcher chose three inputs for each faculty (the number of students enrolled, the number of faculty members and their equivalents, and the number of employees), and two outputs (number of graduates, number of published research). The study reported   the following results. According to the Constant Return to Scale (CRS) of the input and output orientation model, the average relative technical efficiency of University of all Tabuk faculties was 0.793, while it was 0.892 and 0.827 according to the Constant Return to Scale (CRS) of the input and output orientation model; it reached 0.892 and 0.827, respectively, which is insufficient and ineffective
