Emotional Self-Efficacy and its Relationship to Ego Resilience among Adolescent Students in Jordan

This study aimed to investigate the correlation between emotional self-efficacy and ego resilience among adolescent students in Jordan. The study sample consisted of 511 male and female students from the ninth, tenth, and first secondary grades during the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021. Randomly selected students. After verifying their psychometric properties, the emotional self-efficacy scale and the ego resilience scale were employed. The findings of the study indicated a high level of emotional self-efficacy and ego resilience among adolescent students. No statistically significant differences were observed in all domains of emotional self-efficacy and ideal organization of ego resilience with respect to gender, except for the effective handling of others' emotions in emotional self-efficacy and openness to experience in ego resilience. The arithmetic mean of females was higher than that of males. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found in all domains of emotional self-efficacy and ego resilience with regards to grade.
