The Degree of Practicing Inspirational Leadership by School Principals in Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate, Sultanateof Oman Teachers’ Perspective

This study aimed to identify the degree of inspiring leadership practice among public school principals in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of teachers. The study followed a descriptive analytical approach. The questionnaire was applied to 292 male and female teachers. The results concluded that the degree of practicing inspirational leadership among school principals was high.There were statistically significant differences between the average estimates of teachers regarding the degree of inspirational leadership practice among school principals according to the gender variable in the total score, with the exception of: change management, teacher empowerment, strategic planning, and readiness. The differences were in favor of females, and there were also statistically significant differences according to the variable of years of experience in the total score in favor of 10 years or more, except for the field of future vision. The study recommended the need to take into account flexibility in prior planning to manage change and to grant teachers equal privileges based on their professional competence
