Spatial Ability and its Relationship to Creative Thinking and Achievement Hijjawi Engineering Technology Students

Abstract

This study aimed at measuring Spatial Ability and its Relationship  to Creative Thinking and Achievement of Hijjawi Engineering Technology Students. To achieve the goals of the study, paper - Folding Test and Cutting Test were used, as well as the of verbal TTCT (Form A). The study sample consisted of (400) students, (228) male and (172) female, of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology students selected randomly. The study results showed that: There is a statistically significant positive relationship between spatial ability and creative thinking, in addition, resuts showed that there was a statistically significant positive relationship between spatial ability and achievement.  Statistically significant differences due to gender in the total outcome of spatial ability due to gender were found; differences were in favor of females, and no statistically significant differences due to gender in the overall degree of creative thinking. Finally, there were no statistically significant differences due to specialization in spatial ability and creative thinking
