Academic Self- Efficacy as Perceived by the Students and its Relation to their Imagination about their Teachers’ Perception of it and the Teachers’ Real Perception

The aim of this study was to investigate students' academic
self efficacy as perceived by themselves and its relation to their
imagination regarding their teachers' perception and the real
perceptions of their own teachers of that efficacy. The sample
consisted of (302) male and female first secondary graders. Three
scales never designed and administered to students and teachers to
measure students' academic self – efficacy.The Chi-Square Test was
used to answer the study inquiries. The results revealed that there was
a significant relationship at (.05)level regarding the perception of
students, academic self-efficacy and their imagination of their
teachers' perception of it. The study also revealed that there was a
significant relationship at (.05) level between male and female
students' perceptions of their academic self-efficacy, and their
imagination of their teachers' perceptions of it. The study also
revealed no significant relationship regarding the students' perception
of their self-efficacy and the real perception of their teachers of such
self-efficacy.
