الملخص

The study aimed to identify the degree to which the principals of government in in Qasabat Irbid Directorate of Education basic schools practice organizational conformity, and its relationship to the psychological pressures of teachers from their point of view. The descriptive correlative approach was used. The study sample was made up of 367 teachers, which is 10% of the total study population of 3,670 teachers. The (electronic) questionnaire was used as a tool for the study to reach its goals. The findings revealed that the degree to which the principals of government basic schools in Qasabat Irbid Directorate of Education practiced organizational conformity received a "high" rating. Further, the level of psychological stress among Qasabat Irbid Directorate of Education teachers received a "medium" rating. The findings also revealed a strong negative relationship between organizational conformity and psychological stress. In light of the findings, the researchers suggested focusing on organizational conformity due to its efficacy in reducing the psychological stress experienced by teachers
