The present study aimed at investigating the effect of the Web Quest strateg in developing critical thinking skills in literary texts and sustaining its learning impact among female eleven grade students. To achieve this aim, the researchers designed a learning website named Anissa for literature and writers, a teacher guidebook for using Web Quest strategy, and a critical thinking skills test. The sample of the study consisted of (51) female students. Specifically, (25) of them were assigned as an experimental group which received instruction based on Web Quest strategy, and the other 26 students were assigned as a controlgrop which received instruction based on the conventional instruction. Then, the post test of critical thinking skills was conducted for both groups. After two weeks, the delayed test was conducted to measure the sustained impact of the treatment on the experimental grouplearning. Results revealed a statistically significant difference between the mean score of the control group and mean score of the experimental group in the critical thinking skills test, in favor of the experimental group. Moreover, results revealed no statistically significant differences between mean scores of the delayed test and post-test of the experimental group that measures the sustained impact of learning.
