Job Satisfaction and the Affecting Factors Among Government and Private Secondary School Teachers in the District of Amman: A Comparative Study

This study aimed at determining the degree of job
satisfaction and affecting factors among government and private
secondary school teachers in Amman District.The population of this
study consisted of (2455) government teachers and (879) private
school teachers.The sample of this study consisted of (665) students-
(490) male and female government teachers and (175) male and
female private school teachers.To achieve the objectives of this study,
the researehers developed, a questionnaire of seven subscales with
(61) items to measure the degree of job satisfaction among teachers.
Valideity significance was obtained and evaluated by a number of
referees. The reliability value was calculated according to Cronbach
Alpha Equation. The results were analysed by Means, Standard
Deviations and the Three-way Analysis of Variance.The findings are
the following. 1-The results showed that there were significant
differences among Private sector teachers than government
teachers.2-There were significant differences in relation to female
teachers than male teachers.This study recommended that, the salary
of the teacher should be increased
