This study aimed at investigating the effect of a training program based on Borba theory in developing moral intelligence among SOS children in Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (50) male and female SOS children from Aqaba ranging in age between 9 – 14 years, who were randomly divided into two groups, a control and an experimental group. To achieve the goals of the study, a training program، consisting of (30) sessions was developed. It was refereed by a number of specialist in educational psychology, child education, and curriculum & Instruction. Each session lasted for (60) minutes, and covered the seven dimensions: empathy, conscience, self – control، respect, kindness, tolerance, and fairness. Application of the program lasted for (90) days. The researcher used moral intelligence scale which was developed by Alnasser (2009) after ensuring construct and content validity. Cronback alpha coefficient was found, ensuring internal consistency of the scale. Two-Way Ancova analysis revealed that the training program had a significant difference on children's performance on total scores of the moral intelligence scale for the experimental group due to the training program. But there were no significant differences due to the gender, or the interaction between training program and gender. Also Two-Way Mancova analysis revealed that there were no significant difference on children's performance on all the seven moral intelligence scale due to the gender, or the interaction between training program and gender. There were significant differences on children's performance on the three subtests of the moral intelligence scale (respect, tolerance, and fairness) due to the training program. The results were discussed، and a number of recommendations were suggested.
