Abstract

This study aims at exploring the main research trends in M.A. theses of Arabic language Curricula and Its teaching Methode in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University during (1995-2019). The researchers adopted  the bibliometric approach in which a report card was developed. The study community consisted of 125 theses which are also the sample of the study. The study concluded that teaching methods and associated strategies had the biggest number of theses with (40,8%) and the biggest percentage of the theses looked at common Arabic language skills, reaching (14,4%), It was found that the highest number of  the theses followed the descriptive approach, forming (58,8%) and the learners represented the sample of most theses with (53,6%). Most researchers used more than one tool and research material in their theses at a rate of (53,6 %). The study recommended that the enrolled students should be directed to search areas that haven't been investigated previously. These areas are educational goals and methods, morphology, glossary and significance, as well as using other research methods like mixed and qualitative methods, along with using the interview and standards of all kinds.
