Proactive Personality and its Relationship with Academic Boredom Among Students of Irbid University College

Abstract

Objectives: The study explored the correlation between proactive personality and academic boredom among students at Irbid University College and the differences in levels of academic boredom based on gender.

Methodology: A convenient sample of 121 male and female students was selected. To achieve the study's objectives, an academic boredom scale and a proactive personality scale were utilized.

Results: The results showed that the level of academic boredom among students was high and that there were significant gender differences, with males exhibiting higher levels of academic boredom than females. Furthermore, the findings revealed a negative correlation between proactive personality and academic boredom among students of Irbid University College.

Conclusion: This indicates that as the level of academic boredom increases, the level of proactive personality decreases.
