The Attitudes of Early Childhood Program Students at the Hashemite University toward their Specialization and the Relationship of Attitudes of the Students to Gender, and Academic and Achievement levels

This study aimed at identifying the attitudes of Early
Childhood Program Students at the Hashemite University toward
their specialization. In addition, the study attempted to examine
whether students’ attitudes differ significantly according to their
gender, academic and achievement levels. This study utilized a
questionnaire with 25 items. A cluster random sample composed of
238 students enrolled in early childhood program at the second
semester of the academic year 2004-2005 was used. In general the
descriptive statistics results revealed some differences in students'
attitudes toward early childhood specialization according to variables
students' gender, their specializations and their achievement levels. In
addition, the results of 3-way ANOVA indicated significant differences
in students' attitudes toward early childhood specialization according
to their gender, their academic levels, as long as to some interactions
between or among the variables students' gender, their academic
levels, and their achievement levels.
