Child's Affective Education: An Islamic Approach

Abstract

The purpose of the current study was to present the Islamic
educational approach in building child's affective side. Another
purpose was to investigate methods used to plant such affective
educational elements in the child's character. This was done by
referring to the Holy Qu'ran, the Prophet's traditions, and the
teaching of modern and old scholars as well as international
conventions that do not contradict the Islamic educational approach.
The study found out that the Islamic educational approach is wellbalanced,
comprehensive, unique and different from all other
educational approaches. It was also found that the Islamic
educational approach has preceded other educational approaches in
focusing on the child's affective education. The study ended with some
relevant results and recommendations.
