This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of a program based on graphic organizers in improving reading comprehension skills at the literal and inferential levels for a sample of students with learning difficulties in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the aims of the study, a test was developed to measure reading comprehension at the literal and inferential levels for the fourth grade level. The study sample consisted of (40) students that have been selected due to their availability and they were randomly distributed into two groups; experimental and control. The pre-test was conducted for the two groups. The experimental group was exposed to the training program, whereas the control group was exposed to the traditional method. The post–test was implemented on both groups. Results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the two groups in the total score on the skills of reading comprehension, in favor of the experimental group. Also, there are statistically significant differences between the two groups, in favor of the experimental group, in literal and inferential levels of reading comprehension
