The Reality of Using Artificial Intelligence Applications in University Teaching from Academically Talented Students' Perspective at Sultan Qaboos University

Objectives: This descriptive study aimed to identify the reality of using artificial intelligence applications in university teaching from the perspective of academically talented students.
Methodology: The study sample consisted of 116 academically talented students at the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. These students responded to a questionnaire consisting of 40 items distributed over four dimensions related to faculty members' knowledge of artificial intelligence applications, the significance of using artificial intelligence applications, obstacles to using artificial intelligence applications, and the attitudes of talented students toward artificial intelligence applications.
Results: The results showed that the domains of the significance of using artificial intelligence applications and the attitudes of talented students toward using artificial intelligence applications reached a high level. Meanwhile, the domains of faculty members' knowledge of artificial intelligence applications and obstacles to using artificial intelligence applications were at a moderate level.
Conclusion: The study recommended organizing programs and workshops for faculty and students on the use of artificial intelligence applications in university teaching.
